Dryers consume energy. If you must use a dryer use it at off peak times at night.
Consider buying a rack to hang your clothes on if you don’t already have one. We have plenty of sunshine in Portola Valley to help dry our clothes. Also consider a washing line. Towels are quick to hang outside to dry, rather than putting them in the dryer.
